The five Manchester United players who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without against Arsenal

Arsenal take on Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend in the Premier League, with both sides harbouring aspirations of a top four finish.

After back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and Leicester, Arsenal are desperate to bounce back whilst United will want to continue their rich vein of form after beating RB Leipzig 5-0 on Wednesday night.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was boosted by the return of Anthony Martial for the game, with the Frenchman getting off the mark for the season thanks to a late penalty.

However, the forward will miss Sunday's game as he is still suspended domestically - the Arsenal clash will be the last of his three-match ban following the red card against Tottenham.

One player who will also miss the game for United is defender Eric Bailly, who will be out of action for up to a month with a muscle injury.

Solskjaer confirmed to Man Utd.com that Bailly - who has suffered from a variety of injury problems during his time at United - will be out of action until the November international break.

"Eric has a muscle injury, we think maybe three or four weeks, maybe after the international break he'll be back," Solskjaer said after the PSG win last week.

Alex Telles will also miss the game after testing positive for coronavirus.

“He’s been out now for a little while,” Solskjaer told MUTV after the win over Leipzig. “He’s tested positive for the coronavirus. But he has no symptoms; he’s fine and we can’t wait to get him back.”

Another player who will miss the Arsenal clash is Jesse Lingard, who is suffering from an unspecified problem.

"Jesse won't be available so we'll manage without [him] for a few weeks I think," Solskjaer said before the Chelsea game.

Phil Jones is also out, with the centre-back having been ruled out since the summer with a knee injury.

“Phil has been following an individualised training programme during the post-lockdown period to optimise recovery from a knee problem,” Solskjaer said in August.
