The five Everton players Carlo Ancelotti will be without for visit of Chelsea and Frank Lampard

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday as they face Everton away from home.

The Blues go into the game at Goodison Park on the back of a 1-1 draw with FC Krasnodar in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, a fixture that saw head coach Frank Lampard rotate his squad heavily.

It's likely that the likes of Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva, Reece James, Mason Mount, and Christian Pulisic will return to the Chelsea XI as they look to record a victory on Merseyside.

Speaking of the Toffees, manager Carlo Ancelotti delivered some mixed injury news during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Captain Seamus Coleman is back in training after missing the last three games with a thigh problem, but won't feature against the west London outfit.

The same applies to Fabian Delph and James Rodriguez as Ancelotti confirmed a triple injury blow.

"Team news is that we have three players not available, one is [Seamus] Coleman," Ancelotti told reporters.

"He has started to train with the team and is quite good, but I think that he will be available for the next game against Leicester on Wednesday.

"Delph suffered a injury against Burnley."

"James is out, he had a little problem during the game against Burnley and was not able to train this week," Ancelotti added. "I think he will start to train next week.

"But for this game [vs Chelsea] we don't want to take a risk."

With Lucas Digne and Jean-Philippe Gbamin long-term absentees, this means there are five Everton players Ancelotti will be without for the clash against the west London outfit.

Meanwhile, Premier Injuries have goalkeeper Robin Olsen rated at 25% to return to the matchday squad.

After starting the season in fine form, the Toffees' results has dipped in recent weeks and they go into the game against Chelsea on the back of three home games without a win.
