The five Bristol areas with the highest Covid rates

The latest Covid cluster map shows five Bristol neighbourhoods with more than 100 cases per 100,000 people.

There are no parts of the city in the Government map's three most severe categories for coronavirus infection rates, as of Thursday (April 1).

Only five Bristol areas are in the next highest category of rates, between 100 and 199 cases per 100,000 people. There are two neighbourhoods from South Gloucestershire in that group and none from North Somerset.

Three weeks ago, Bristol had four neighbourhoods in that band, while South Gloucestershire and North Somerset had one each. The region had no areas in a more severe category, which remains the case as of the latest figures.

Most parts of the Bristol region have rates lower than 50, and many have fewer than three cases in total.

Here is a list of the neighbourhoods with the highest rates:

Bristol

Speedwell: 9 cases, rolling rate of 110.7 (per 100,000 people)

St Annes: 13 cases, rolling rate of 132.1

Knowle West: 12 cases, rolling rate of 159.2

Highridge: 9 cases, rolling rate of 148.7

Bishopsworth: 6 cases, rolling rate of 101.1.

South Gloucestershire

Bradley Stoke Central: 15 cases, rolling rate of 132.9

Bradley Stoke North East: 11 cases, rolling rate of 106.7.

Thursday's figures, the latest available, cover the seven days up to March 27.
