The Five Best ‘Borderlands 3’ Bounty Of Blood DLC Legendary Weapons

Well, now that everyone has gotten a chance to get their hands on Borderlands 3’s new Bounty of Blood DLC, I figured it was time to make one of my trademark lists where I rank the best new weapons from the expansion.

I do have all the guns by this point, albeit not ultimate god rolls on each of them, but I’ve spent enough time with them to have a few favorites, for sure.

There are some really, really good weapons in here, better than the last two DLCs, if you ask me, and many of these are going to be meta for quite a while. So, here’s my top five list, though I will admit the exact order is up for debate as I think they’re almost all somewhat equivalent to be honest, it just depends on the content you’re running.

5. Robin’s Call (drops from Garriden Loch in Ashfall Peaks)

I am not the biggest fan of most shotguns in Borderlands 3, but there’s something about this rare Jakob’s shotgun that just feels so right. It’s not elemental, but it ricochets on crit and returns ammo to your mag. I used it a lot during my first playthrough of the DLC, but now I’ve been hunting for a god roll anointed one, as it’s just a ton of fun to use.

4. Gargoyle (drops from Dickon Goyle in Bloodsun Canyone)

This COV pistol is corrosive only and is a damage monster in the right hands. It shoots normal corrosive shots with bonus blobs of corrosive splash damage, so don’t get to close or you’ll blow yourself up with it. But for sheer damage, it’s almost unmatched in this class, and I have an anointed one with even more corrosive damage after action skill that melts on my Amara build.

3. Flipper (drops from Minosaur in Bloodsun Canyon)

I have only recently discovered the joys of Flipper, a new Maliwan SMG that can roll any element, and stacks up shots to be shooting up to nine at a time. Put on someone with ammo regeneration like FL4K or Moze and it’s deadly. I have a cryo/anointed cryo one that I put on Zane and his clone that freezes everything and may be its own build by itself.

2. Complex Root (drops from Lani Dixon in Ashfall Peaks)

I was tempted to put this as number one, and yet it is kind of a situational weapon. The situation being when you want to kill a boss faster than anything else in the game, which is something that will happen frequently with farming. This ricocheting sniper creates a web of bouncing shots that can crit an enemy a dozen times on a single shot, and on Fade Away FL4K or elemental Amara especially it just erases boss. Not terrible against mobs, but there are better options there.

1. Light Show (Drops from Lasodactyl in Obsidian Forrest)

This may be a controversial number one, but there’s just something fantastic about this laser pistol, which can drop with any element and be useful on any number of characters. It shoots four projectiles per shot in a spinning pattern and by the time you stop being blinded, you will see a whole lot of dead enemies around you. Probably my favorite mob clearing weapon in the game at the moment, and not bad for certain bosses either with certain elemental damage and anointments.

You can farm all of these pretty easily. All are world drops, so you will get them from killing any major bosses. But they also all drop from Crew Challenges, and the drop rates on them are pretty good. Get to farming, and see what I’m talking about with all of these.
