The five Arsenal players Mikel Arteta will be without for FA Cup tie against Sheffield United

For the third time this season Arsenal face Sheffield United.

The two meetings so far have come in the Premier League, and interestingly the Gunners are yet to win and visit the scene of a painful defeat earlier in the season.

It finished 1-0 to the Blades at Bramall Lane back in October - a result which kick-started a poor run of form for the north London outfit and eventually cost Unai Emery his job.

Mikel Arteta has since been installed as head coach and he's overseen two away wins in this competition already.

A third will see the Gunners book a place in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

However, the Spaniard will be without as many as five first-team players for the clash against Chris Wilder's side.

Wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli - a scorer against United in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium - became the latest Arsenal star ruled out for the remainder of the season after picking up a knee injury in training last weekend.

The teenager joins Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers on the sidelines as the quartet who will miss the game because of injury.

Meanwhile, the cup tie is set to come too soon for midfielder Lucas Torreira to make his return to action after sustaining a fracture to his right ankle in the last round against Portsmouth.

The good news for the Gunners is that Kieran Tierney will be available despite limping off against the Saints.

Arteta revealed the Scotland international, who has struggled with injuries ever since his £25m transfer from Celtic last summer, was simply suffering with cramp.

"Kieran was cramping," Arteta told reporters. "He hasn't played two games together in the last seven or eight months and he was suffering.

“The weather is different to Scotland and he needs to adapt to it."

Meanwhile, Cedric Soares is hoping to finally make his Arsenal debut, five months after arriving at the club and David Luiz is available again following a two-match suspension.
