Coronavirus rates are starting to improve in some areas of the region, latest government figures show.
The latest data - which covers the seven days to Friday, January 15 - shows the number of areas in the region with infection rates below 200 per 100,000 has doubled in the space of two days.
Westbury-on-Trym and Henleaze continue to be the areas recording the lowest rates in the city.
The improvement comes as one neighbourhood in the area has seen its covid case rate double in the past week - meaning it now has one of the worst rates in the country.
A total of 2,067 coronavirus infections were recorded in Bristol in the seven days to January 15 and the city's rate (446.1) has actually gone down by 12 per cent in a week after a steep rise over the past month - while getting closer to England's current rate (497.3).
