The first thing Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti said to Jose Mourinho about Tottenham's new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has continued to wow people since the grand opening last year.

Saying a fond farewell to White Hart Lane in 2017 ahead of their temporary move to Wembley, Tottenham unfortunately had to wait a little while longer to return to N17 as the build was delayed.

However, it was well worth the wait as Spurs fans took their seats inside the ground for the first time in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace 15 months ago.

The 62,303-seater stadium has made a huge impression on opposition players over the past year and the same can also be said about managers as well.

Monday night saw Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti in the technical area for the very first time and Jose Mourinho has revealed the first thing the Italian said to him when they greeted each other prior to kick-off.

Asked at his pre-match press conference if he had discussed the stadium debt with chairman Daniel Levy and if it would have an impact on building a successful squad, he said: "No discussion at all. The only thing that was important for me at that time was that my club has the best stadium in the world and the best training ground in the world. For me there is nothing else than that.

"The first thing that Ancelotti told me - and you can imagine Ancelotti managed some of the best clubs in the world in the Bernabeu, the Allianz Arena, the San Siro - the first thing Carlo told me was 'wow this stadium is absolutely incredible'.

"So when it's my stadium I don't think about anything else in relation to the stadium except the beauty of the stadium and the comforts and the motivation it is to play for a club that owns that stadium.

"Then after that I think everything is internal and not to share in this discussion."
