The First Few Survivors: Titans Vs Rebels Contestants Have Been Revealed

The hot new season of Australian Survivor is just around the corner and I am already feeling HYPED thanks to a cheeky social media cast announcement from Channel Ten. But instead of dropping the whole list, they’re drip-feeding us Survivor fans as if we’re guinea pigs in an enclosure suckling at Jonathan LaPaglia‘s water teet.

The new season is all around the premise of Titans Vs Rebels and while we have no confirmed idea what that actually means, Channel ten have revealed which team each of these contestants belong too. Very compelling.

So, without further ado, here are all of the contestants who will be battling it out in the upcoming season of Survivor: Titans Vs Rebels on January 29, 2024.

Kelli Harris – Rebels

Kelli is stoked to be on the Rebels team because she’s cheeky and likes to push the boundaries. (Image: Supplied)

As a psychologist, Kelli is one to watch this season. She’s spent her whole career preparing for this moment. Her philosophy at work is pretty similar to the game though: “no bullshit”.

“I’ve been analysing people for more than half my life,” she says.

“I get to meet beautiful people and see the dynamics between people. Coming into this, it’s like a psychologist playground — I can watch everyone and assess what’s happening.”

Kelli has earned the nickname “pocket rocket” because she’s got never-ending energy. Kelli is giving Survivor a crack to make her late-mum and family proud and to represent other women her age.

Thankfully for Kelli, the Rebel’s tribe feels like the right fit.

“Thank goodness, I’m on the Rebels tribe. I don’t break the law but I like to push the envelope. I was born a Rebel and I’ll die a Rebel.”

Kirby Bentley – Rebels

If being cheeky doesn’t make you a rebel then IDK what does, and as Kirby says she’s “a kid at heart”.

You might recognise Kirby from her time as a player in the AFLW Fremantle team, where she is also now a coach — so could this coaching experience mean she’ll be a natural choice for leader?

With enough confidence built up from years of working in male dominated spaces, Kirby does not let anyone tell her what to do, and hopes to be an inspiration while on Survivor.

“I mentor Aboriginal girls and empower them and do that through sport every day. But out here, I want to inspire everyone,” stated the rebel.

“My Elders have gone through a huge struggle in our country and we’re always challenged but all the women I admire like my mum, my aunties, they’ve paved the way for me and I want to do the same for others.”

If you want to see more of Kirby before the show goes to air on January 29, here’s her promo.

Garrick Wildman – Rebels

Just because Garrick is one of the tribe’s oldest rebels, doesn’t mean he should be overlooked.

Garrick works as a Loss Prevention Officer on the Gold Coast, meaning he’s literally a paid professional when it comes out to sniffing out rats.

“My day job has definitely prepared me for Survivor. I deal with deceit every day,” said Garrick.

“People are going to underestimate my physical ability and think I’m the old fella so I think I might surprise quite a few of them.”

If we know anything about Survivor it’s that nobody should get underestimated. And as Garrick says he likes to “Think young and have fun.”

A motto he truly puts to practise as an avid motorbike rider — hence the swaggy leather jacket.

Viola Jokudu – Titan

Viola is a powerlifting, strength and conditioning coach, making this 22-year-old a Titan for sure.

She’s as tough mentally as well as physically, and hopes to use her charm as a method of winning over her teammates.

Viola can bench 95kg and has broken five national records. (Image: Supplied)

Sharing that she “had to grow up a lot quicker than most”, Viola moved from South Sudan when she was only two after her mother passed away.

“We moved to Australia and we are a happy family, minus one and that changed my entire life. I had to learn to be an adult before I was ready to be one,” said the Titan, and self titled Queen.

Growing up in a family of 13, Viola wants to use her experience with big groups to her advantage.

“The thing with a big family is there are always sides. Everyone’s going to fight over food, over the TV, so you have to be strategic and I can deal with different personalities.”

Valeria Sizova — Titan

Valeria is a model and business owner who runs a dance entertainment company in Sydney.

As a model, Valeria has always had people doubting her smarts and isn’t afraid to play the dumb model card when it suits her.

But in reality, she’s got the strong spirit needed to succeed in Survivor. Valeria moved to Australia from Russia on her own when she was only 17 years old. She barely spoke English and knew no one.

After she got settled, she began studying Political Science at uni — which I’d argue has some hefty advantages in the competition — before deciding to pursue a dance professional instead.

Valeria is a self-confessed lone wolf who is gunning for individual success but she admits that she’ll be making an effort to be a team player.

“I feel like when you look at me, I might look cute for day one but by day two, the sleeping bear inside of me is ready to fight,” she said.

“I won’t be afraid to play the cliché girl who seems worried about her hair and makeup, I can play that for a while but that’s when I’ll blindside them.”

Ayooooo go get em’ gal!!

Feras Basal — Rebel

The next contestant to be announced is Feras, a HR manager who hails from Western Sydney. I think Fara’s profession is your first sign that he is not here to play.

Inspired by the brilliant work done on the show by fellow Western Sydneysider and Survivor icon George Mladenov, Feras says he’s ready to turn the game on its head.

Feras reckons that people often get the wrong idea about him and chalk him up as a tough guy but deep down he’s a sensitive soul who is dreading leaving his wife behind as he battles it out on the show.

“My wife is the one person who I crumble around,” he said.

“If you bring her to this island, I’ll shatter into a million pieces. She’s a tough woman and a quarter of my size so people think I’m wearing the pants but definitely not. She’s my absolute everything.”

“I want to be the Sole Survivor because I feel like I can prove that a little old Arab man from Western Sydney can win this thing,” he exclaimed.

“I want to prove people wrong and show little seven-year-old Feras that he can do something like this. I want to be the minority who takes over the majority.

“I’m a Rebel through and through.”

That’s all for now, but don’t worry, we’ll update this article as soon as more quirky cast characters are announced.
