We made, it mates! The Solar Eclipse in Virgo 2025 hits this weekend, marking the end of Eclipse Season and may I add: AMEN!
It’s been one helluva month, what with all the combined eclipses and retrogrades, but part of the nightmare is ending tonight, PRAISE BE.
Read on for everything you need to know about the last eclipse of the year.
Solar Eclipse in Virgo 2025

When is it?
The Solar Eclipse in Virgo arrives on Monday September 22 at 5:55am.
Can you see the Solar Eclipse in Australia?
Sadly, it will not be visible in Australia… but you sure as hell will be feeling its energy!
What does it mean in astrology?
While lunar eclipses are all about reflection and realising stuff (to quote Kylie Jenner), solar eclipses are all about new beginnings and getting a fresh start, which is very much needed after the abject mayhem of Eclipse Season (not to mention all FIVE retrogrades).
It coincides with the New Moon in Virgo which is all about clearing out the bad energy that we’ve accumulated throughout the year — especially during Eclipse Season — to make way for fresh, sparkly vibes.
Anything that was holding you back before should fall to the wayside and if it doesn’t, it’s time to perform some spell work to banish that energy.
Don’t be surprised if the conclusion of Eclipse Season brings some previously hidden intel to the surface, and I don’t just mean in a piping hot tea kind of way. The energy is shattering illusions and cutting through the chaos that’s clouding the truth about certain situations and people.
Now is a time of self-discovery, of realising what you’re made of and what you’re capable of, in all aspects of life.
Ditch the imposter syndrome and start believing in yourself once again!
You may not realise this, but it’s a nine year in numerology AND it’s the year of the snake, according to the Chinese Zodiac, which means there’s been lots of letting go, learning hard lessons, and basically going through hell in order to level up and live in our best lives next year when the karmic cycle starts again.
Spells and rituals for the Solar Eclipse in Virgo 2025
Archangel healing spell
Need to heal from physical and mental trauma? Better call in the big guns, aka Archangel Raphael, patron saint of physicians, nurses and pharmacists.
He can be summoned to cure whatever ails ya!
You’ll need:
- An image of Archangel Raphael (you can print it out, draw him, or just open your phone to his image during the spell)
- Frankincense
- Red candles

Method:
- Burn either frankincense oil or the resin on lit charcoals.
- Carve a red candle with your full name, date of birth and ailments (or you could write it on paper and either burn it in the flame or place the paper under the candle).
- Meditate upon his image as you chant the following: “Archangel Raphael, filled with mercy, please hear my call. Vanquisher of demons, protector of travellers, endowed with healer’s grace. Help all who implore your assistance. Please help me with [describe what needs to be healed].”
Perform fortune-telling magic
Whether your medium be tarot cards, angel cards, tea leaves, or palm reading, now is a great time to summon the answers you seek. There’s something waiting to be revealed and it should come to you on its own, but assist the universe in the transfer of information by tapping into your go-to method.
And with the Solar Eclipse in Virgo comes the end of Eclipse Season! See yas at the next one. In the meantime, be sure to check out your September horoscopes 2025 to suss what you’ve got in store next month.
Cleaning ritual
Before stepping into something new, a cleansing ritual is always a good idea, especially when Virgo energy abounds. Light up a sage stick or Palo Santo to clear away lingering negativity, blessing both yourself and your space. Pay special attention to corners and overlooked spots where stagnant energy likes to hide.
