The first look at the new Doctor Who series is here

Pictures, a trailer, and more information have been released as part of the Doctor Who San Diego Comic Con about the upcoming series - and it revealed a new cast member.

Jacob Anderson, known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Broadchurch, has been announced as a new recurring character, Vinder.

Although not much has been revealed about Jacob's role, he did say: "Not only has a lifelong dream of mine now been fulfilled, but to be playing a character as fun, adventurous and dynamic as Vinder is the cherry on top," hinting a little about the character.

The new trailer is less than a minute long and briefly shows all four main cast members, Jodie Whittaker as The Doctor, John Bishop as the new companion, Mandip Gill as Yaz, and Jacob as Vinder.

There is no release date for the 13th series of the Sci-Fi show but it has been announced it will be returning later this year.
