The Spinningfields restaurant that has been used by Channel 4 for First Dates is set to close.
The Refinery's days are numbered after its parent company, Drake & Morgan, secured approval for its proposed Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).
The CVA will see three of its 22 sites across shuttered, including one of only two venues in Manchester city centre.
The Refinery's sister site The Anthologist, at St Peter's Square, is unaffected.
90 per cent of creditors voted in favour of the CVA at a meeting last week - the arrangement will also see two venues in London close.
The business has said that all team members in the affected sites will be offered alternative roles within the business, preserving jobs.

Jillian MacLean, founder and CEO of Drake & Morgan said: "We wish to thank our landlords, suppliers, business partners and other creditors for their support.
"The approval of the CVA means we can look forward to strong growth and begin rebuilding the business on a positive financial footing."
The Refinery opened on Hardman Boulevard in 2017 and has been occupied by Fred Sirieix and his First Dates team since production of the hit dating show moved up north in 2020.
Drake & Morgan bosses had previously said they were trying to create 'breathing space' for post-pandemic recovery.
MacLean said last month: "We started last year as a profitable and growing business and, in common with the rest of the hospitality industry, have been significantly affected by repeated lockdowns and tier restrictions."
