In the Q1 2026 earnings report, Nexon revealed that THE FINAS grew its Q1 year-over-year revenue by 47 percent. The company expects the game to sustain good performance in the second quarter.
On May 14, Nexon released its Q1 2026 earnings report. Among multiple releases and franchises (like Dungeon & Fighter and MapleStory), there are games from its subsidiary, Embark Studios. In the report, Nexon stated that THE FINALS Q1 revenue grew by 47 percent year-over-year.

The revenue was driven by Season 9, released in December. The season introduced a new map, Fangwei City, and a Point Break mode that quickly became one of the community’s favorites. Nexon expects the game to maintain good performance in Q2 following the release of the Season 10 update in March.
Embark Studios recently announced plans for larger annual content releases as a part of seasonal cadence, starting with Season 12 later this year. These updates will be an opportunity to bring back and attract new players, while growing its esports scene.
Apart from THE FINALS, ARC Raiders sold an additional 4.6 million copies. Nexon detailed that over half of active players spent more than 100 hours in the game, totaling more than 1.5 billion hours. The game drove the record-high quarterly revenue and operating income alongside the MapleStory franchise.
Nexon expects ongoing contributions from ARC Raiders heading into Q2 as well. While the game has shifted to bi-annual major updates, the company emphasized that the Frozen Trail October update will feature a large amount of free content, designed to engage lapsed players and attract new ones.
There are also two new games in development from Embark Studios, as previously revealed by CEO Patrick Soderlund in an interview with The Game Business. One of these games has “a lot more edge to it than THE FINALS or ARC Raiders,” and the other one is more conventional.
