These were the final few moments of an historic Swansea chapel which was torn down to the ground in the name of progress.
Libanus Chapel was demolished on Friday to make way for the construction of three terraced homes and one pair of semi-detached homes.
It brought sadness among some members of the community at Libanus Road in Gorseinon, where the chapel was located, as a big part of its character was removed for good.
This included Carol Driscoll, who captured the pictures featured in the article from her street, watching on as it was razed to the ground.
She said: I felt sad as I watched it dissappear. Like so many have. But it could be a danger to the general public if it was left much longer."
Libanus Methodist Chapel was first built 1890 and then rebuilt in 1901 in a mixed Romanesque and sub-classical style with a gable entry plan.
The mixture of round and segmentally-headed windows had marginal glazing with some coloured glass.
Swansea Council granted permission for the demolition to be carried out back in March 2020, after the plans for the transformation were submitted by Edwards Building Maintenance Limited in Clarke Way, Swansea.

It had been left vacant for many years and was regarded by some as an eyesore, and concern had been growing that it was becoming a danger to the public in the state it had been left in.
Councillor William Evans said: "It was an eyesore and over the years it has been deteriorating. The external boundary walls were made of stone and they were collapsing bit by bit and it was creating a danger for people.
"There has been a series of planning applications submitted through the years to change this building. To me it will improve the visual amenity of the area."
