The sixth and final installment in Square Enix’s pixel remaster series gives Final Fantasy 6 that beautiful 2D pixel art sheen it deserves. Many longtime series fans consider this the quintessential entry, making it the perfect closing point for these remakes.

Now that the entire pixel remaster series is almost out, many hope these games will make it to other platforms like PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Specifically, that last one, since most of the 2D Final Fantasy games came out on either the NES or SNES. It’s hard not to drool over the notion of Final Fantasy 6 in portable mode, so here’s to hoping!
