Sky Sports' changing take on Marcelo Bielsa's second season at Leeds United

There was a time that Sky Sports were willing to do everything to get Leeds United in front of their cameras - but not so much anymore.

So far this term, for fixtures that have been selected for TV coverage up until mid-January, United will have only been shown live on Sky Sports nine times.

But whilst Leeds were so often the side that Sky turned to most, they're not even the most televised side in the Championship this term, let alone the country.

Promotion rivals West Brom have been handed that tag, with the Baggies set to have been televised 12 times from the start of the season up until mid-January.

Leeds only rank joint-second alongside Neil Harris' Cardiff City.

With the currently slate of rearrangements going up until the weekend of January 11/12th that will mean nine of Leeds' 29 games in all competitions by that stage will have been televised (not including their FA Cup third round match which is yet to be determined) - which equates to a third of their fixtures.

Last season Sky Sports put selected 24 games of their 51 matches (again, in all competitions including the play-off semi-final) for broadcast - which was 47 per cent of all their matches and represents a significant drop. These figures do not include red button games.

Manchester City and Manchester United lead the way in terms of televised domestic games this term.

A total of 18 each clubs’ domestic games from the start of the season up to and including January have been picked for live broadcast by BT, Sky and Amazon.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have the next most with 17 each, followed by Tottenham Hotspur (16), Leicester City (14) and Everton (13).
