The fiendishly difficult 90s Welsh football quiz

It was very nearly a golden era for Welsh football.

The 1990s was the decade of Giggs, Hughes, Rush and Speed. Big Nev was in goal, and under Terry Yorath Wales were within an inch of qualifying for USA '94.

It was also the decade of Toshack (for one game), Mike Smith, Bobby Gould and Vinnie Jones, of losing 7-1, of dropping players for throwing a Paolo Maldini shirt into a bin, of glorious Cardiff nights against West Germany, Brazil and Belgium.

Away from the international scene, meanwhile, all of our clubs meandered between a state of average and below average, languishing in the lower leagues.

So why not reminisce about the glories and the heartache by testing your knowledge with our 1990s Welsh football quiz.
