The Festive Group switches from huge Christmas installations to social distancing screens

A Liverpool seasonal events company has developed a new range of protective screens for businesses as it adapts to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Festive Group has launched the new screens in response to a growing number of requests from its clients and social distancing measures to become the norm "for the foreseeable future".

The operation is in contrast to the firm's day-to-day operations, with it known for its large scale commercial and domestic Christmas installations and event dressing and theming services.

The firm said its Christmas offerings remain unaffected.

Head of operations, Paul Lally, said: "Our usual spring and summer events season has been massively affected by the current situation and so we have used our experience in bespoke fabrication to come up with a whole range of screen options at very affordable prices.

"A lot of clients were asking us to help them protect both customers and employees during the crisis and if current advice is anything to go by we can see these kind of protective measures lasting way beyond lock down."

The new units are being produced in association with the groups fabrication partners who are based in Spain, and come in a variety of sizes and specifications - and can be personalised with company logos or branding.

The business said they are suitable for workplaces from shops and service stations to larger public spaces and workplaces.

Mr Lally added: "We think protective screens will become part of everyday life moving forward. We wanted to try and make them as attractive and affordable as possible and we are proud to be driving this initiative from our base here on Merseyside.

"By adapting our working practices and channelling our design skills into this project we are sure we will be able to safeguard employees and improve customer confidence as life returns to a new normality."
