The Feathered Man by Jeremy de Quidt - review

Jeremy de Quidt, The Feathered Man

Hmmm, I'm still not really sure about this book. I didn't love it, that's for sure. I didn't hate it either. Let's just say mixed feelings. I didn't really get it and I don't think that I was really the target audience. The start was slow and it didn't really get much faster. I quite liked Klaus (the main dude) and I liked Liesel (the main dudette). They were quite good characters.

It's about a tooth-puller boy called Klaus. His master pulls teeth off of dead people to use for other paying customers. On one trip to get teeth, they find a man with gold as teeth and a diamond hidden in his mouth. But the tooth-puller can't keep this secret forever and there is more than one person that wants that diamond. Klaus is stuck in the middle of it. Then the diamond ends up in his pocket and things get worse. Not to mention the feathered man.

I wasn't gripped but it wasn't awful. I'd say average. Two out of five.
