Carolyn Massey has designed a rather nice collection of menswear for Asos. Highlights include a two-tone herringbone blazer, this T-shirt and a knitted cardigan-jacket. Right now, Massey’s style tip is to go for wider leg trousers: “There’s something really refreshing and rather luxurious about the fabric involved after years of painful skinny jeans everywhere.”

If you’re in London’s Regent Street this week, watch out for Random Acts of Happiness, from gifts of flowers or sweets to a hug. It’s part of Uniqlo’s 10th anniversary in the capital. A revamped store re-opens on Thursday with limited product at discounted prices. So merino knits, such as this one, will go for a tenner. Go on, smile.

Rising star Simone Rocha makes these mega red shoes. She designs for Topshop, Lady Gaga wears her clothes and her SS12 show was a triumph. It featured see-through plastic with antique embroideries, neat shirts or jackets with sheer sleeves and a version of the signature shoes, in green, with a tall heel.
