The fashion briefing

The Briefing: Oliver Spencer anorak
Women: Oliver Spencer's anorak
Spencer is a menswear designer who creates well-thought-out, tailored clothes that are timeless but not dull. This spring, with the ongoing trend for boyish shapes for women, he launches a womenswear collection which is well worth a nosey. Alongside a lovely range of shirting, comes this nifty anorak with its winning whiff of 70s camping trips.

The Briefing: Topman jacket
Men: Priceless for Topman lilac drummer-boy jacket
Antony Price's second outing for Topman includes this jacket - a bestselling piece from autumn, which he has remixed in a shade of 80s pastel for spring. Elsewhere in the collection, which is one part Duran Duran, one part Roxy Music (he worked with both bands), there is also a really cute, short jacket in tan with golden buttons.

The Briefing: Lauren Laverne
Spotted: The short jacket with jaunty dress look.
Lauren Laverne has said she gets dressed up for her radio shows - now, there's a woman who takes her role as a stylish young lady seriously. The briefing has had a longstanding crush on Ms Laverne and this conveniently sums up why. She looks put-together but not painfully so. She obviously likes interesting clothes, but never looks wacky. Plus, you know she'd be fun over a cocktail.

The Briefing: Henry Holland T-shirt
Question of the week: Excuse us while we get all Through the Keyhole about it, but who would design cheeky T-shirts like this?
With giggle-inducing strategic coverage of the included fashion personality's unmentionables? Oh, Henry Holland you tinker. Choose from John Galliano, Tom Ford, Luella, Agyness, Anna Piaggi or Henry himself.

The Briefing: Splurge: Yves Saint Laurent's wristlet
Splurge: Yves Saint Laurent wristlet Aside from coining our favourite fashion word of the week, how much more fun is a purse when it has a gold chain? From YSL's Belle de Jour patent accessories range, this little beauty comes in all manner of hot-to-trot shades including orange, aqua and hot pink.

The Briefing: Chris Craymer Romance book
Set to Fly: Chris Craymer's Romance book
Who doesn't fancy a bit of love of a Monday morning? Mulberry was so taken with Craymer's pictures that it has not only sponsored his book but it is planning to use the images of his loved-up couples in its windows. We have worked out that the book fits perfectly inside a Bayswater. Result.
