Here’s a hot contender for sunglasses of spring/summer 2011 (a contest packed with a trillion entrants, obviously). These are from Fendi, whose latest catwalk collection was at the Milan shows last week. They’re so statementy and ever so slightly weird, which is probably what is so brilliant about them. Note that this is one of those outfits where the clothes are merely a backdrop for the money-spinning accessories – amazing blue-and-orange striped handbag, skinny-minnie belt, natty bracelets and some delicious summery sandals. Also, Freja Beha Erichsen is a model to fall in love with. Photograph: pr
Who doesn’t want to smell of Prada? On a quick survey of Guardian HQ, the latest eau de toilette from the Italian fashion powerhouse, Infusion d’Iris, was given a big thumbs up by the women – although one man dared to suggest it was “a bit soapy”. The cheek of it. It’s actually fresh, floral and light, combining iris pallida neroli from Tunisia, lily of the valley, violet, heliotrope and cedar. Get spritzing! Beanies are not an immediate route to chic, especially if you are a high-maintenance hair kinda gal. But news just in: done hair is done. Instead, channel your efforts into buying a posh woollen hat such as this Missoni one. The Italian knitwear label, which delivered its spring 11 collection in Milan yesterday, can be relied on to produce the kind of patterned knitting you’ll want to wear for ever. £115, net-a-porter.com Photograph: PR
Meet Anna Dello Russo, fashion maven for Vogue Japan and front-row spectacle par excellence. Here’s a five-point plan to living the ADR dream. 1) Get a driver, so you can change outfits on the move. Yes, ADR does this. 2) Get a portable dressing-up box of barking accessories to ramp up all looks in a flash. 3) Put something on your head – giant cherries, perhaps, or a melon slice. 4) Know the designers, so you can borrow the clothes. 5) Bottle your own fragrance in golden shoes, call it Beyond, and release it just before Christmas.
