It goes without saying that Glee is Amaze and so it’s a pleasure to welcome Kevin McHale to the highly coveted Look of the Week slot. The whole cute bow tie thing could be a bit 2009 but with a splash of plaid shirting and a lick of retro spec, it’s working. And let’s face it, it’s rare that men’s clothes are allowed to be fun. The up hair’s working too, no? Photograph: Everett Collection / Rex Feature/EVC
This Austin Reed dress is a major find. It has sleeves, it’s minimal and mid-calf, which makes it spot on trend. It also has absolutely nothing to do with party dressing, though with a bit of tinsel and some antlers, it could be a disco goer.

A fur muff? Isn’t that a question one asks oneself every morning? Oh yes, so glad to be of service. Put this baby on and suddenly that Austin Reed strict dress is looking positively perky. The briefing could make all manner of jokes here, but it’s far too classy.

Listen, we’re not Trinny and Susannah but, honestly, there are ways of doing things. This paper’s very own fashion editor has declared a loose loop to be the scarf look this winter. Elsewhere on the fashion desk there is much talk of tucking your hair into the scarf. This looks very cool and a bit French. Meanwhile, over at Vogue HQ, Emma Elwick-Bates tells the Briefing she’s channeling Balenciaga’s super tight tucking-in scenario of autumn/winter 2007. Has the snood got as many options? I don’t think so.

A yellow sweatshirt with a face on it. Are we back in 90s you say? No. But this Lazy Oaf number is frankly just too damn jolly to ignore. Every wardrobe should have a smattering of sweatshirt and, aside from the obligatory grey marl one, a punchy graphic version in yellow with a face on? Gotta be done.
