Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will be aiming to join Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round this week.
Both clubs are in third round replay action today and tomorrow with the Lilywhites hosting Middlesbrough at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight and the Red Devils welcoming Wolves to Old Trafford 24 hours later.
Southampton await the winners of the Spurs/Boro tie, while United will face either Watford or Tranmere Rovers away from home should they get the better of their fellow Premier League counterparts.
But could be trouble awaiting the north London should they reach round five.
With the inaugural winter break in England taking place next month, the FA Cup fifth round has been switched to midweek for the first time ever.
Furthermore, these games will be spread across three midweek evenings and at least one tie will be taking place on Thursday March, 5 in order to accommodate the demands of TV broadcasters.
This means Premier League clubs are facing an increased fixture congestion and Spurs as well as Liverpool are most at risk.
The following midweek sees both clubs in Champions League action.
Spurs face RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena for their last-16 second leg tie, while the Reds - the holders of the competition - welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield.
In the event that either club gets the Thursday night FA Cup fifth round slot then it would means their Premier League game the following weekend will have to be moved back 24 hours.
Given Spurs are due to face Leipzig on Tuesday March, 10 it seems unlikely they would be forced to play Thursday-Sunday-Tuesday.
Although a potential fifth round tie date would be sandwiched between a home game against Wolves and a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley.
Regardless of if Spurs have to play on a Thursday or not, the beginning of March promises to be a hectic one should they overcome Middlesbrough and the Saints.
Liverpool will face the winners of the Bristol City/Shrewsbury Town replay in round four and are most at risk of getting the Thursday slot in round five as their second leg against Atletico Madrid is 24 hours after Spurs are in action so their Premier League clash with Bournemouth on March 7 could get pushed back.
