The extreme lengths Jurgen Klopp's wife went to to watch Liverpool's Champions League victory parade

Over 750,000 fans turned out in Liverpool to welcome back the Reds for their open-top bus parade after winning the European Cup for a sixth time.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi in Madrid were enough as Liverpool bounced back from defeat in last year's final to Real Madrid and narrowly missing out on the Premier League title to win their first trophy under the German.

With it also being the Reds' first piece of silverware since 2012, no-one was going to miss victory parade  - a four-hour tour of the city with Liverpool's heroes showing off their prize.

Supporters scaled bus shelters, lamp-posts and street signs to get a glimpse of the Reds' European champions and of the European Cup.

And that included Ulla Sandrock, wife of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Wanting to get a view of her husband, Ulla was pictured on Twitter being supported on top of a bin before wildly cheering as the Reds' bus drove past.

A social worker and children's writer, Ulla married Klopp in 2005 and is often spotted in the stands at Anfield cheering on her husband's side.

And her allegiance could be set to go on even longer after the news that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are planning to reward Klopp by offering him a new contract.
