The extraordinary understanding that Newcastle will benefit from thanks to Wilson and Fraser

Ryan Fraser is hoping that his telepathy with Callum Wilson will be a major plus for Newcastle United for the rest of the season.

The pair hooked up again on Sunday to conjure a Premier League goal after rekindling their understanding following a long stint at AFC Bournemouth but now Fraser hopes that Newcastle are the benefactors.

In an intriguing admission, Fraser told the Chronicle of the duo's strong bond and how their communications go on long after training and matches are finished.

Fraser said: "Over the last two or three seasons, me and Cal has been something else.

"We speak to each other after games and if he's not in a position where I have crossed it I will tell him constructively.

"Likewise, if I don't put a ball in where he is, we talk to each other after training.

"We talk outside of training too and we will work on stuff like crosses in games."

At one stage at Bournemouth, Fraser and Wilson were accountable for 46% of their 196 goals scored over four season.

Fraser said: "It isn't just luck, it's done by working hard and talking to each other.

"We are close off the field and are good friends, that will only help this team.

"All in all, it's looking good."
