The extra work that Man City goalkeeper Aro Muric hopes can stop England

Aro Muric will be looking to get one over on his current and former Manchester City teammates at St Mary's on Tuesday.

Kosovo have had a strong start to their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying group and can climb above England with a win to go top of the group. City stopper Muric, on loan at Nottingham Forest for the season , has been an important part of their campaign to date but will have his work cut out against Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho .

Sterling in particular has begun the campaign in devastating form, adding an international goal on Saturday to the five he has already plundered in the Premier League.

Muric is aware how difficult it will be to keep England out.

However, having spent many a training session last season staying late to allow Sterling to take shots at him the 20-year-old is hopeful that can count for something on Tuesday.

"I think it helps me. I trained every day with Sterling, with Sancho as well in the youth. We know each other," Muric told the Mail .

"I know Sterling particularly because every day I would train extra with him. He would ask me to stay after and I had a lot of shots from him to help his finishing! But I don't say I helped him, he helped himself."
