The exact date McDonald's is bringing back their breakfast menu in the UK

Fans of McDonald's could get their sausage and egg McMuffin fix soon as the fast-food chain has revealed a trial date to bring back their breakfast menu.

Since re-opening for drive-thru hundreds of people across Scotland have been joining huge queues to satisfy their McDonalds's cravings.

However, so far the drive-thru service has only been offering a limited menu that doesn't include the popular breakfast items.

But now McDonald's lovers have another date to look forward to, because from June 24 a number of the restaurants will be bringing back their breaky, reports Hull Live.

If the trial is successful, then the other chains will follow suit, and the best news yet is that the famous McMuffin will definitely be on the cards.

McDonald's said: "From June 24, a number of restaurants will test the return of breakfast service. If successful, we hope to reintroduce the much-missed McMuffin across the UK and Ireland later in July.

'We will confirm which restaurants nearer the time."

McDonald’s UK and Ireland CEO, Paul Pomroy, added: "I hope that within a few weeks we will be able to start trialling breakfast service.

"Over the coming months, we will explore how to extend the menu, increase our opening hours and reintroduce those much-missed McMuffins at breakfast."
