Emmerdale has a somewhat surprising history with Hollywood films and we’re taking a look at one particular former villager who took Tinseltown by storm.
Past and present Emmerdale favourites Michael Wildman, Amanda Donahoe, Jenna Coleman and Anna Friel have all appeared in major movies. But there’s one former cast member who arguably shined the brightest in Hollywood and that’s Patsy Kensit.
Sadie King in Emmerdale between 2004 and 2006, Patsy, has enjoyed a varied career and has had roles in major films. She starred alongside Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon 2 and David Bowie in Absolute Beginners.

Elsewhere, she famously turned down the role of Emily Waltham in iconic sitcom Friends. We wonder if she might regret that decision now.
The star, who has previously been married to Oasis’ Liam Gallagher and Talking Heads’ Jim Kerr, is also known for her singing talents.
She was a singer in Eighth Wonder, who were produced by Pet Shop Boys, while she also sang in those Hollywood films Lethal Weapon 2 and Absolute Beginners.
Reggie Kray was Patsy’s godfather while Liz Hurley is godmother to Patsy’s son Lennon.
Since leaving Emmerdale, Patsy, enjoyed a three-year stint in BBC hospital drama Holby City. While, she’s due to star in upcoming productions The Pebble and The Boy as well as Renegades.
