A former Emmerdale star has a famous wife who enjoyed a starring role in hit sitcom Gavin and Stacey.
Matt Kennard had a stint in Emmerdale back in 2013 playing the shady businessman Kirk Stoker. Like many other soaps stars he’s switched between soaps and enjoyed roles in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks Casualty and Doctors.
You might also recognise Matt from Heartbeat, Waterloo Road and feature My Name is Leon.

Matt’s twin brother Sam is also an actor and has appeared in films The Dark Knight Rises and Red Tails as well as soap Coronation Street.
Matt’s partner is fellow acting star Laura Aikman. Down the years, Laura, has enjoyed parts in Citizen Khan, The Job Lot, Waterloo Road and Keith Lemon: The Film.
Arguably, her most recent highest profile role was playing Sonia in the 2019 Gavin and Stacey Christmas special.
Viewers might remember Sonia as the new partner of James Corden’s Smithy.
The festive special of Gavin and Stacey ended on a cliffhanger and many fans are hoping the team will get back together for another episode soon.
This year, Laura has gained parts in Death in Paradise, The One and Milk.
