The ex-Chelsea manager Arsenal fans want to replace Unai Emery - and it's not Jose Mourinho

Calls for Unai Emery to be replaced as Arsenal head coach are getting louder and louder.

Saturday's 1-1 draw against Wolves means the Gunners are without a Premier League win since before the October international break and for the third game in a row have failed to hold on to a lead.

The latest result at the Emirates Stadium prompted an angry response from some fans on social media , with many demanding Emery is sacked ahead of Wednesday night's Europa League clash with Vitoria.

Then with Bayern Munich parting company with Niko Kovac on Sunday, a section of Arsenal fans have urged the Bundesliga giants to look no further than Emery as a replacement.

All the while links to Jose Mourinho are lurking in the background.

There has even been reports of a meeting with Head of Football, Raul Sanllehi and the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager.

However, football.london understands Sanllehi did not have dinner with Mourinho and has not spoken to the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager in years.

Furthermore, there's been little indication from the north London outfit that a managerial change is imminent. Although, based on the reaction on social media it clear that supporters want the Spaniard gone.

So who do some fans want as a replacement for Emery as patience among some begins to run out?

Despite Benitez being a popular choice among some Arsenal fans, it's unlikely that he will take a role at the Emirates regardless of what happens to Emery.

The Spanish tactician, who left Newcastle United in the summer, became the new manager of Chinese Super League outfit Dalian shortly after his departure from St James' Park was made official.
