Now in its second year, the European Diversity Awards celebrate and reward those organisations and individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. Google and the Royal Bank of Scotland are jointly sponsoring these awards.
RBS celebrated a double win at the 2011 event, winning the Boutique Marketing - Marketing Campaign of the Year Award, while CEO Chris Sullivan accepted the accolade for Abercrombie & Fitch - Diversity Champion of the Year.
Organised by diversity specialists Square Peg Media, the 2012 European Diversity Awards are due to take place on 20 September and will once again be presented by the BBC's Jane Hill. Focusing on all strands of diversity, this is a night to celebrate both progress, organisations and individuals in the diversity field across all sectors.
It's European focus has been helped by the support from the European Union who are getting involved with the awards for the first time this year. With this backing, we can truly be European in our reach and recognition, and anticipate this widening the scope to organisations working across this area.
