A new report has revealed that Ireland is the second-most expensive country in the European Union to buy alcohol in.
The report was published by the EU statistics agency Eurostat, and shows that only Finland has a higher price for booze than us.
The EU average price level index is set at 100, according to the data.
Finland lead the way with a price level of 193, but the Irish are not far behind with a rate of 181.
Sweden round out the top three with a price index of 166.
However, if you're looking for a nice holiday with cheaper booze prices, then you should have a look at a trip to Hungary (with a price level index of 73), Romania (74), or Bulgaria (81).
Interestingly, Ireland ranked as the most expensive place to buy tobacco in the study of the continent.
Our prices for cigarettes and other tobacco products are 121% above the EU average.
Amongst the EU Member States, Denmark is the most expensive country for food, while Turkey is the least expensive.
