The emotional video that pays tribute to Nottingham Forest's serving players on Remembrance Day

Nottingham Forest supporters group Forza Garibaldi have released an emotional video on Remembrance Day to celebrate the lives of the City Ground footballers who fought for their country.

A stunning banner was unveiled during Saturday afternoon's East Midlands derby on Trentside showing five former Reds stars, Percy Ashton, Tom Peacock, William Fiske, George Hazard and Joe Mercer, all draped in their World War One attire.

The five all fought for their country during major conflict with some returning to play once again in Garibaldi while others gave the ultimate sacrafice.

The man who put the video together, Alex Bausor, said: "[It was] a real pleasure to be involved once again.

"I definitely felt the pressure on this one so I’m glad if you like it. The Forza Garibaldi boys never cease to amaze me with their hard work and they’re well thought out ideas. Thanks for having me again."

The tear-jerking video, which goes into great detail on each of the five players featured on the banner, is a must watch for any Forest supporter and has received great praise online from supporters.

Reds fan Richard Clarke said: "Beautifully done. A wonderful tribute both on match day and with this short film.

"How far we’ve come in the last few short years is simply breathtaking and I’m incredibly proud of my club.

He added: "Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do."
