The Emmerdale star who quit acting and now works as an estate agent

Some stars when they leave Emmerdale make a beeline for Hollywood whereas others head for Bognor Regis panto but there are a few who completely turned their back on acting.

Marc Silcock, 32, was one of those. As fans of Emmerdale might recall, Marc played Jackson Walsh from 2010 until 2011. He was cast as a love interest for Aaron Dingle - played by Danny Miller.

After leaving Emmerdale, Marc had roles in Doctors and Casualty while earlier in his career the then-actor appeared in Waterloo Road and Shameless.

Marc studied acting at City College Manchester and has a diploma in performing arts.

In 2017, Marc retired from acting and embarked on a career in a whole new field. He became an estate agent with Kamani Property Group

He subsequently teamed up with former Emmerdale co-star Adam Thomas, who played Adam Barton in the ITV soap, in pursuing his property exploits.

It remains to be seen whether Marc will ever return to acting but he’s certainly making waves in his current career.
