Emily joined the cast of the long-running ITV soap in 2001 and starred as the landlady of the Woolpack until she left the programme in 2008.

In 1999, Emily was involved in a whirlwind romance with Premier League footballer Matt Le Tissier.
The pair met while Emily was starring in a pantomime in Le Tissier's home city of Southampton - and were engaged after six months.
However, the two eventually split in 2000 - a year before they had planned to tie the knot.
During her time on Emmerdale, Emily also dated co-star Matt Healy, who played Matthew King . The two became an item after they first enjoyed a fling on the show - and even duetted in a celebrity special of Stars In Their Eyes..
They broke up after 15 months just before Emily appeared as a contestant on Dancing on Ice in 2007.
Emily has been married twice during her life. The first was a two year marriage to a drummer she met in London during her first stint in Home & Away in the early 90s.
The soap icon later married Lorenzo Smith in 2003 - who was a son of Viscount Hambleden and descendant of English stationery tycoon W.H. Smith.
She revealed in an interview that she struggled to get pregnant during the marriage - and the resultant cycles of IVF impacted their relationship before they divorced in 2005.
In 2010, Emily reprised her role as Marilyn again on Home and away and she soon struck up a relationship with Nova Entertainment group programming director Paul Jackson.
After an IVF journey, Emily announced she was pregnant and welcomed a son in 2015.
Emily and Paul have since split up - but the soap star regularly updates her Instagram with pictures of her son.
