The Emmerdale actor running a popular takeaway loved by ITV soap stars and Manchester United footballer

A part-time actor, who has appeared on Emmerdale dozens of times, also runs a top takeaway.

Hussein Dehaini is the son of Adnan Dehaini who played for Tadamon Sour SC in his native Lebanon and the Lebanese national team in the 1980s and 1990s. The family left their homeland following the July War of 2006.

The family now run Tyros – the ancient name for his home city Tyre – a Lebanese sandwich bar in Stockport, Cheshire. Tyros, which Hussein runs with his dad Adnan and Adnan's wife Faten, is one of the town's best-loved takeaways.

The food, described as "uniformly marvellous" by the Manchester Evening News, comprises traditional Lebanese dishes handed down from generations of Adnan and Faten's families. Dishes, which change weekly, include a chicken stew with cashew nuts, shawarma, fried chicken cutlets and a spicy sausage kebab.

When he's not working at Tyros, Hussein moonlights on Emmerdale where he has appeared as an extra dozens of times. Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard on the ITV soap, and his wife Brenda Walker, who plays Lesley Dunlop in the soap, are regulars at Tyros, popping in about once a month.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw also comes in for food.
