The eight Championship matches Kiko Casilla will miss after FA ban over racist abuse

Leeds United have been dealt a massive blow in their Premier League promotion push this evening, with the news that goalkeeper Kiko Casilla faces an eight-game ban after being found guilty of racially abusing Charlton Athletic's Jonathan Leko.

The incident occurred in a clash between Charlton and Leeds at The Valley last September, with the on-loan Addicks man claiming that he had been racially abused by the Leeds shot-stopper.

The goalkeeper has now been handed an immediate eight-game ban by the FA and fined £60,000, as well as an order to attend face-to-face education.

With the ban commencing with immediate effect, Casilla will be absent for tomorrow's Championship clash with Hull City and will not return until Leeds take on South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley on April 18.

With the former Real Madrid man now set for over a month-and-a-half out of action, here is a look at the crucial Championship matches he will miss.

Hull City (A) - Saturday, February 29

Huddersfield Town (H) - Saturday, March 7

Cardiff City (A) - Sunday, March 15

Fulham (H) - Wednesday, March 18

Luton Town (H) - Saturday, March 21

Blackburn Rovers (A) - Saturday, April 4

Stoke City (H) - Friday, April 10

Swansea City (A) - Monday, April 13
