Although our favourite bars, pubs and restaurants in Edinburgh may have their doors closed for a wee while, it hasn't stopped them for gaining critical acclaim out in the food and drink world.
GQ Magazine have officially announced their list of nominees for the magazine's 2021 edition of their Food and Drink Awards - and you may just recognise one name on the list.
In the 'Belvedere Best Bar' category sponsored by the vodka, Edinburgh bar and restaurant Under the Stairs is one of just five bars shortlisted for the whole of the UK.
The popular Old Town venue joins The Gate in Glasgow as well as Dukes Bar, Swift Shoreditch and Kwant in London.
Under the Stairs is located, well, down a set of plant-adorned stone stairs on Merchant Street in Edinburgh's Old Town.
Inside you'll find low ceilings and exposed brickwork, with vintage fireplaces surrounding the soft furnishings and mismatched sofas and chairs.
There's an impressive cocktail list to boot and a straight to the point food menu of a few dishes done well - making it a date spot must for almost a decade.
