The hospitality sector has been hit hard as a new strain of Covid-19 spreads throughout Edinburgh.
Earlier this month, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Public Health Scotland advised Scots to cancel Christmas parties as the Omicron variant sparked concerns.
As more data has been revealed, Sturgeon went further with her advice in a bid to 'save Christmas'. The Scottish public have been issued guidance to stay at home as much as possible on the run up to Christmas with only three households allowed indoors.

These rules are currently not in place for Christmas Eve, Day or Boxing Day.
As the public took heed, restaurants and bars have been flooded with cancellation during what would normally be one of their busiest trading periods.
The Scottish Government is providing £100 million pounds to help businesses and people affected by Omicron.
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak also announced on Tuesday December 21 that there will be a £1 billion fund for hospitality including cash grants of up to £6,000 per premises for each eligible firm.
Due to Covid related reasons, many hospitality venues in Edinburgh have decided to close.
