The Eco Larder Edinburgh reveal location of brand new zero-waste store

One of Edinburgh's much-loved zero-waste stores is opening a second branch in the capital.

The Eco Larder have finally unveiled the location of their second store after first revealing they had plans to expand in July.

The new store can be found on 19 Howe Street, just a short walk from the bustling Stockbridge area, in New Town.

Matthew and Stephanie Foulds, who run the social enterprise food store in Haymarket, opened the first shop in 2018 after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live previously, Stephanie explained that they were concerned that bad habits were returning.

She explained there had been a rise in the number of of single-use plastics amid the coronavirus outbreak.

"We were a worried there was a backward trend in people wanting to dispose of everything really quickly, even customers coming to our store.

"It was out of fear of the virus, which is understandable," Stephanie said.

In an announcement on Instagram, the pair said: "We have been so swept up with the great news in the US & especially so pleased for Kamala, that we forgot to let you know officially where our new shop will be! ⁣
