The 'eclectic' café with amazing views of Liverpool's waterfront

A Liverpool café and bar has been labelled as the perfect spot to admire the city's famous waterfront while enjoying tapas styled food, according to locals.

Brasco Lounge can be found next to the Museum of Liverpool, between the Albert Dock and the Liver building, making it a go-to spot for tourists and residents alike.

The informal neighbourhood café boasts an outdoor terrace, where guests can enjoy views overlooking the water while they choose from the likes of their Pulled Brisket Chilli -sSlow-cooked chipotle beef brisket, black beans and mature cheddar served with spicy rice, spring onion, red chilli and sour cream or try some tapas including a Crispy Fried Cod Taco - a soft tortilla topped with guacamole, lettuce, pickled red onion, red pepper ketchup, black beans, coriander and crispy fried cod.

One previous customer gave it a four-star rating and ranked it as good value over on our sister site 2Chill.

Member Emily Chundy said: "For lunch with a view of Liverpool’s famous waterfront, Brasco Lounge is a venue suitable for everyone’s tastes – not least because of their specialty vegan and gluten-free menus.

"The restaurant provides burgers, hotdogs and tapas including salt and pepper squid, patatas bravas and chorizo tacos, all in an eclectic interior covered in paintings."

On those colder nights, guests can sit inside and appreciate the inside space as it is flooded with light from what is essentially one big glass wall.

The dog friendly venue even has a genuine old stone Liver Bird shield on the wall behind the bar which was salvaged from the Liver Building when a wall leading to the car park was demolished.

It is open daily from 9am – 11pm and no booking is needed with more information available here.
