The early West Brom vs Cardiff City team news and the fans' starting XI choice

Cardiff City travel to The Hawthorns today in search of their first win away from home this season.

They go into the tie having not lost in the league in their last seven outings, but face stiff opposition in the form of the Baggies, who have been flying high this season.

The Bluebirds' injury woes have quietly subsided, with Sol Bamba and Isaac Vassell the only definite absentees for the trip to the Midlands this weekend.

Joe Ralls missed the midweek win over QPR and Neil Warnock revealed the midfielder is touch and go as to whether he will be available for today's clash.

Warnock started Tomlin against QPR, but it seems highly unlikely he will select the playmaker in such an important clash away from home.

If Ralls is anywhere near fully fit, Warnock will start him in a flat midfield three alongside Leandro Bacuna and Marlon Pack.

The defence picks itself, but the wing berths are the only other contentious areas.

Gavin Whyte is almost nailed on to start, but the manager could well opt for Junior Hoilett in place of Josh Murphy on the left, flanking Robert Glatzel through the middle.

We've had our say, now you have yours below.

Cardiff City likely XI: Smithies; Peltier, Morrison, Flint, Bennett; Pack, Ralls, Bacuna; Whyte, Hoilett, Glatzel

For the Baggies, both club captain Chris Brunt (groin) and Kieran Gibbs (virus) missed the trip to Leeds United on Tuesday, but both have taken part in training in the last couple of days. Ahmed Hegazi will join up with the Egyptian national team but the clash against Warnock's men will come too soon for him.
