The early Luton vs Swansea City team news and predicted line-ups as key man returns

Wayne Routledge is in contention to feature for Swansea City against Luton Town this weekend.

The winger has not played for the Swans since suffering a calf problem in the 1-0 home defeat to Millwall at the Liberty Stadium in November.

But he has been training with the rest of his team mates at the club's Fairwood complex in the buildup to the clash with Graeme Jones' side.

And Steve Cooper has said the 34-year-old's return will be a huge boost for the Swans.

“Wayne’s back. He’s trained all week,"

“It’s always good to have him on the pitch because of what he brings – through his character and also the fact that he’s still a very good player.

“Overall, we’re not in a bad place.”

Long-term absentees Joe Rodon (ankle) and Jordon Garrick (hamstring) remain sidelined, although Swansea have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the clash with the Hatters.

Speaking about the game in Luton, Cooper said: "They’re at home. I think they’ve picked up three-quarters of their points at home so it tells you that if they’re at their best it tends to be there.

"We're aware of that, of the way they play and we need to be ready.

"It’s a bit of a cliché and I find myself saying it a lot but there isn’t a game in this league that you don’t have to be ready for in every aspect.

"I think in the last week or so through conversations we’ve had as a team, we’ll focus on ourselves."

As for the hosts, The Hatters could have Martin Cranie available, although Dan Potts remains a doubt following his groin problem.

Danny Hylton is unlikely to be considered, while Izzy Brown (hamstring) and Brendan Galloway (patella) are also out.

Predicted lineup: Woodman; Roberts, van der Hoorn, Cabango, Bidwell; Byers, Grimes (C); Ayew, Dhanda, Celina; Surridge.
