Hibs are in touching distance of securing third spot after securing a vital three points against Livingston.
Martin Boyle and Kevin Nisbet fired Jack Ross' men to a 2-1 victory, while Aberdeen slipped up as Leigh Griffiths rescued a last-gasp point for Celtic at Pittodrie.
These results secured a fourth-place finish for the Easter Road side and qualification for next season's newly-formed Europa Conference League.
But Jack Ross was quick to point out there is still work to be done as they eye that elusive 'best of the rest' tag outside the Old Firm.
However, it's well within their grasp as they bridged a six-point gap after Wednesday night's results.
So when is the earliest Hibs can clinch third spot?
First, there's the matter of a Scottish Cup quarter-final to contend with, but it could be confirmed as soon as the weekend after next, when Premiership duties resume.
If the Hibees can secure a home win over St Johnstone and Aberdeen drop points away to Livingston, it's all done and dusted.
But if both sides win their respective matches, that's when it gets really interesting as they square off against one another 12 days later in what you would consider a massive 'six pointer'.
Hibs could secure it against their rivals as long as they avoid defeat, otherwise, it could go down to the last day as the Leith side take on Celtic, while Aberdeen travel to Ibrox against Rangers.
Hibs can afford a few slip-ups along the way, but there's no doubt Celtic's equaliser against the Dons has put them in a commanding position.
