Doug Pederson should and will ultimately be remembered for winning a Super Bowl — LII, in 2018 — for a city starving for a championship.
But on Monday, with the Philadelphia Eagles firing the man who spent five years at the helm, all anyone could talk about is the last thing that happened with Pederson at what turned out to be the end of his tenure.
Pederson benched QB Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld, seemingly tanking to help the franchise get a better draft pick.
That’s where a lot of the reaction was pointed — lots of jokes, theories and observations about Pederson getting Sudfeld some reps. Here’s a sampling:

The irony? The last memory of Pederson as HC of the Eagles is him benching Jalen Hurts in favor of Nate Sudfeld.
