The Eagles are recreating Georgia’s national championship teams drafting 5 Bulldogs in 2 years

The Philadelphia Eagles are building the most ferocious defense in all of college football.

After the team traded up in the 2023 NFL Draft’s fourth-round to pick Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo, Philly added its fifth Georgia defensive player in a matter of two years.

Ringo will join 2023 first-round draft picks Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith and 2022 draft picks Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean as former Georgia standouts on Philly’s defense.

It’s simply unheard of for an NFL team to this painstakingly recreate a college football defense, but Eagles general manager Howie Roseman really seems to like what’s going on in Athens, Georgia, with the two-time national championship-winning Bulldogs.

It helps to have a bunch of guys on your defense who have plenty of established chemistry and close relationships to further push each other at the next level.

As the Eagles reload on defense, the team also added Illinois safety Sydney Brown to that side of the ball.

As Philly builds Georgia North up in Pennsylvania, you can bet that Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart is smiling from ear to ear. You can also bet that Philly might not be done adding Georgia players to their roster.
