The Eagles announce Aviva Stadium show for summer 2022

Legendary American rock band The Eagles have announced a summer 2022 gig in Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

Today is a big day for gig announcements at The Aviva Stadium as Westlife also announced a show at the venue for next July.

The Eagles will bring their world tour to Dublin on June Friday, June 24 2022. Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 11th at 9am.

The band, consisting of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, are expected to perform a string of their hits such as Hotel California, One of These Nights, Life in the Fast Lane, Desperado and more.

The hotly anticipated tour kicks off in Amsterdam in The Netherlands at Arnhem’s Gelredome Stadium before making stops at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium before closing at London’s BST Hyde Park.

The Eagles are the best-selling American band of the 70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, selling more than 200 million albums worldwide, scoring six number one albums and topping the singles charts five times.

Additionally, the band have also won six Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility.

They also received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

The Eagles will be joined by special guests Little Big Town for a string of tour dates, a band that has earned more than 45 award show nominations and won 20 of those awards including multiple Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, People’s Choice, CMA and ACM awards.

Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster.ie from Thursday, November 11th.
