The Duchess of Cambridge wears her favourite designer for return to Buckingham Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge opted to wear her go-to designer for hers and Prince William's first formal appearance since March last night.

The cornflower blue frock was a custom ensemble courtesy of New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, which the Duchess has championed on various occasions over the years.

The mother-of-three paired the knit dress with her faithful nude Jimmy Choo Romy pumps and kept her hair loose and natural.

Emilia Wickstead established her eponymous label in 2012 and has a legion of fans, from Kate to Gigi Hadid and Gwyneth Paltrow.

She most recently donned the designer in August, on a trip to Barry - the home of Gavin & Stacey.

Kate and Prince William hosted the President and First Lady of Ukraine on behalf of the queen, who is currently not taking in-person engagements at Buckingham Palace due to the pandemic.
