The Duchess of Cambridge nails St Patrick’s Day dressing in forest green

Kate Middleton embraced St Patrick ’s Day in London visiting the 1st Battalion Irish Guards in a sleek, hunting green dress coat.

Entering the ceremony at Aldershot today, the Duchess opted for a Laura Green outfit. Cinched with a belted waist, the £3,200 over-the-knee overcoat – named “Emilia” by the designer – was dressed up with a celebratory shamrock brooch, and coordinated shade pill box hat. She finished the look off with a low bun.

As ever with the Princess’ attire, flair came in the details; this time an exaggerated collar, epaulette inspired buckles on the shoulders, navy leather buttons and matching dark green stilettos.

During the trip, Middleton made the time to pat the equally chic looking Irish wolf hound regimental mascot, called Turlough Már, in his pillbox red rug.

The Duchess was joined by Prince William, who is the current royal colonel of the Irish Guards, who had a spring of shamrock on his hat.

Yesterday, the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, also opted for a Laura Green design whilst visiting Cheltenham Festival, which marks the brand as a Royal favourite. Green, who is a London based designer, counts herself at the forefront of Britain’s ‘couture’ market.

“Fashion has the power to uplift and we want our clients to feel unbound to where or when they envision themselves wearing the pieces,” the designer says on her website. And while the Duchess’ Emilia coat is not available online, there are an array of sharp tailored jackets ranging from £2,100 to £3,900 available for purchase now.
