These are the eight Dublin schools that have already been hit by Covid just days after reopening.
A mass majority of pupils returned to their classes on Monday with more than 300,000 back in front of their teachers in the most unusual of circumstances.
Sadly for some teachers, students and parents, the joy of transition from online to in-class was short-lived as their schools were hit with worrying coronavirus scares.
Five southside schools and three in the north of Dublin have sent letters to parents and guardians confirming at least one case with two schools in the capital hit with two cases.
Schools with two infected people are St. Peter's Special School in Rathgar and St. Michael's House Special School in Ballymun.
The rest are:

- Scoil Iosa - Tallaght
- Holy Family School For The Deaf - Cabra
- St Mary's NS - Saggart
- Scoil Eoin - Crumlin
- St. Augustine's Special School - Blackrock
Schools experiencing Covid cases have already been in contact with parents through letters and emails.
They advise: "If you/your child develops any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection (such as a cough, a fever, loss or change in sense of taste or smell), please do not send your child to school, contact your GP and begin restricting your child’s movements, as per public health advice.
"Restricted movement means avoiding contact with other people and social situations as much as possible. It is also sometimes called ‘self-quarantine’.
